RAAC Cane

This swagger stick was made for a Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) Officer in the role of Adjutant of the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). The metal fittings are stainless steel, while the cane itself was constructed from a solid piece of Australian Spotted Gum. The knob has an original RAAC badge from 1956 permanently fitted, which was gently bent to wrap around the knob. To commemorate his role as Adjutant of ADFA, the ferrule contains an engraving of the ADFA motto, "To Lead, To Excel", that wraps around completely. The upper portion of the cane houses a black kangaroo leather handle with cross-stitching at the rear, expertly made by TJ's Leather Craft.
